Imagine all the world’s questions to be a ball. and each point on the ball a question. On the surface of the ball are your everyday questions like, "What should I do today?"
As you go deeper and deeper into the ball, you get tougher questions like, "Is the death penalty ethical?" or "Which career path would make me happy?"
At the center of this ball are our most basic questions such as, "Whats the meaning of life?" or "Is there a God? and if so how does he/she direct my life?"
As you can imagine there are perhaps an near infinite number of questions on this ball and it would be extremely hard to give an answer to any of the central questions.
But each individual has central beliefs, or ideas which become the core of their ball. These beliefs in turn give answers to questions that are less central. Each outer answer becoming derivatives earlier answers.
