Has anyone ever heard of the small locater microchips embedded into pets? These help pet owners locate lost pets via GPS. Why the hell aren’t all lose-able products embedded with something like this? Expense? Well, it doesn’t have to be expensive. Lets say that someone develops a low energy radio transponder that emits a locater signal to any receiver within a 500 foot radius. Nothing as intense as satellite GPS technology that can be located anywhere on the face of the earth. Well, if every lose-able household product was embedded with an extremely small transponder such as this, then all a home owner would need is a central signal receiver that could display a grid of the house and show the location of every tagged product. You would never lose anything as long as with was in the house.

Potential Problems: security. So someone could technically tap into your homes locater signals and know what you have in your house. This is why we have wireless security, basic electrical insulation in building walls. I think someone could solve that issue.
